A Place I Call Home

Hiya Frenz,

I was reading Suki's Blog and she had wanted us to share about where we live. Living in Singapore is kinda different, we have lots of tall buildings and very little open spaces. It's almost like living in a concrete jungle!! Most of us live in apartments or HDB flats and we don't have space for big koi ponds like Butchy & Snickers (btw guys, where's Luckie the Koi? hehehe). In each housing estate or neighbourhood, we have amenities like shops (most of the time within walking distance), food or hawker centres and convenient access to public transportation services (like buses or train services).

This is my neighbourhood. :) Mom brings me for a walk when she's free and there's always peepol enjoying the breeze downstairs or bringing their hooman pups out to the playground too. But yeah, they don't leash those hooman pups so I try my best to stay away from them.

Singapore has lotsa yummy food and if you do get a chance to come over, you gotta check out our hawker centres. That was not me but Mom cos you know I can't get to eat those food from the hawker centres anyhoo. Sheesh...so puhleeze stop going on about the food Mom, this is not a food blog!!

Oh yeah, where was I before I was so *rudely* interrupted by Mom. Hmm..yes, talking about my neighbourhood!! We live in a HDB flat too and it's like 30 storey high. Is that high or what? Each floor has 6 households and we have pretty nice neighours. :) They seem to like me..or at least act like they do. Hoomans are very good at acting huh? They don't always seem to show their true feelings unlike us!! We are so REAL and will never hide our feelings from them.

Tall block of HDB flats. Mom sometimes carries me to the window so I can look out and enjoy the scenary. It's really high and scwary but Mom stands quite a distance away in case I try to do spidey-man stunt like climbing along the walls or jumping out of the building.

We also have a MRT station nearby. The train brings my hoomans to work and back home. Unfortunately, dawgs are not *allowed* on public transport so I have not been on a train before.

My groomer's salon is nearby so I can walk to visit those bootiful groomer ladies and get myself nice and pwetty. I know I know, I kinda got side-track from blogging about my trip to the groomer again. The silly thing was Mom did bring her camera along but she was too shy to whip out her camera to take piktures of me and the other dawgies there. Plus the groomers were busy with grooming and she was afriad that the camera flash would agitate the other clients. Anyhoo, I gotta blog about that soon.

PS : Fufu, I didn't get your comment about how to edit the comment thingy. :) I think blogger has eaten up your comment. tee hee hee...

Oh Luckie, you live in a flat. Well, should be good enuf for you coz you're small. A big dog like is not suitable to live in apartment! Anyway, they wouldn't allow. I live in a intermediate house where is just nice for me! Altho our porch is not very large, it's still just nice for me to kill my sistas! Hahaha!

Love licks,

Eating food...eating comments. Loads of eating going on.

I like eating. Any food scraps to offer to me? Mummy doesn't give me any but I'm not a fussy eater AT ALL.

Food food.........!!!

The poor doggy that lives on the 30th floor must never get outside. Just think how long it takes him to climb the stairs! Now I know how you keep your girlie figure Luckie!

Love ya lots,
Maggie

You have such a good mom to take you out for your walks everyday. Living in a flat is not much different than living in a house when you are a dachsie. We just want to be inside anyway. If you every come to visit, we will let you run on the land Mom just bought for us. We can run and run and run and run and ...

Luckie, is it true that you cannot chew gum or smoke in Singapore? That is what I have heard. Not that I do either ... just curious.

Hey Luckie! Thanks for posting about Singapore :) It looks really cool. It's nice you have so much public transportation nearby; here in my area of Florida, your hoomans HAVE to have a car or you can't go anywhere since everything is so spread out.

I wanna go visit you and look out your window! :)

Puggy kisses

Hi Luckie. The pictures you posted are pretty nice. Your neighborwood looks great. I live in a small house without yard, but like Dachsies said we love to be inside. Here in Torreon dogs are not allowed in any public place. So no buses, no malls, no restaurants, nothing, NADA. The only places we are welcomed are the VETS!! No thanks.

That's a really tall building. We only have a couple of buildings that tall where we live, and most of those are offices. We live in a small house with a big yard.
