This is embarrassing...

Hey frendz,

I have been eagerly checking out everypup's blog hoping for an update on the DWB's chat but I guess all of you are either 1) still chatting away or 2) too tired to update your blog. That meanie Mom of mine, she left me alone at home (which was what she did on Saturday) and went for her own BBQ entertainment. My grandfolks were having a BBQ session at their place and invited my hoomans over. In fact, they also *invited* me but my hoomans decided that it was better that I stay at home in case I ended up being a BBQ hotdog. My corgi cousin (who lives with my grandfolks) was not invited to the BBQ either. I heard that they put her outside & away from where the BBQ action was going on. Man, that really suxs. *I digress* And so I ended up all alone at home, so sad & lonely. You know what? The hoomans lost track of time and came back so late to FEED me dinner. I was really upset with them and decided to ignore them after I finished my dinner. Yes, I went back into my den and refused to play with Mom. HA - that should teach her a lesson.

I didn't get to go to the SKC (Singapore Kennel's Club) Dog show either and Mom felt bad (yes - about Sat's BBQ). She decided to bring me for a walk to get my manicure done. Hmm, I thought ok so she decides to bring me out - I get to kill two birds with one stone. I get a nice long walk and nice pwetty nails. But no, my mom decided (of all days may I add) to put on a collar to walk me instead of my usual harnass. She carried me downstairs and put me down for my walk. I refused to walk and struggled like a wild horse (bucking away crazily - according to Mom). Then, I sat down and stared at the ground. Yeah, to add to the drama (yeah - there were hoomans staring at me already by that time), I decided to make those pukey noises as if I was choking very badly to show my unhappiness. Mom gave up and carried me home so that we could get my harnass on.

So here we go again, out of the house and back to where we first started earlier for our walk. She set me down on the ground and I started walking happily. :) hahahaha I do not mind having a collar on, as long as it's for decorative purposes but when it comes to walking, I need my harnass. Mom, do you get that? If you still don't get it, I'll be happy to show you once again how much I hate walking with a collar on. Will update more on my visit to the groomers!!

Getting a nice tan with Mr Brown Bear.

I'm trying to look serious for the camera.

Can you tell me what's wrong with these 2 pictures? :)

Let's take a walk.....

Hey Friendz,

It's finally friday and I heard through the doggyvine that there's going to be a dog show at the Singapore Expo. I have never been to any dog shows before cos my hoomans say we have no transport there and we shouldn't be spending all that money travelling up and down. Mom reminded me that spending money on transport means less toys, treats & greenies for me. Guess that mean I'd not able to meet up with other doggies there. *Bummer* So if other Singapore doggies are going, please take lotsa pictures to show me what went on alright?

Sniffing the ground. It just rained so yeah, the ground smells really different.

Who goes there? I have a confession to make. I have erm...*never* peed or pooped outside the house. I mean, I do get excited sniffing the different scents left behind, but I'll always control myself till I get back home to pee/poo. I do not know how to mark too. :( Am I a failure or what? I was so envious after reading Sweets' blog on how he went around marking and having a good time in the outdoors. Then it struck me that I never did that before!!! I mean even Sunshade does a good job of marking outdoors!!

Mom doesn't let me wander on my own like those hooman pups.

Can we go now Mom? It's getting boring.

That's me following Dad & Mom following me...hehe

Dad says Let's go Luckie! :) Check out his big camera!!

I hope everypup has a great weekend. :)

My Yellow Dumbbell - Favourite Toy of the Moment (Part 2)

Hey frendz,

I was looking through my older posts and realised that the more trouble I get into, I get more comments! Do you still remember the time I made snow for the very first time? Hmm..does that mean I need to get into some trouble soon to keep you dawgs entertained? hehehe...

Here's the remaining pictures as promised. :) I made sure Mom posted all the available pictures cos I wouldn't want her to continue with a Part 3 tomorow. Sheesh....I still can't believe she did that.

Yummyyyyyyy ~ I'm licking a yellow popsicle. No, it doesn't taste like lemons. Oh wait, I never had lemons before so how should I know what it tastes like?

Man, this is so addictive. I could do this all day long. I think I have pretty good motor skills, I like using my paws to grip my toys. My paw fur is getting long and Mom says we really need to get a manicure soon.

Ah, my favourite way to carry my yellow dumbbell. 1 2 3 lift...2 2 3 lift...it's tough staying in shape. I totally understand how Dot & Sam from the Brat Pack feels when they see those cute clothes. I don't think those clothes suit dogs with longer bodies like me. Wouldn't that mean I'll be exposing my cute little belly all the time? My hair hasn't really grown back since I went for the spaying opawration when I was 6 months old. :(

Check out my nekkid belly! Yikes, all my nekkid bits are exposed. MOM!!!! Let's keep this blog friendly alrighty? I'm still a puppy!!!

Copper, this dumbbell doesn't jingle at all. It just squeeks at both ends. I'm not too sure if you can hear it in this video.

My Yellow Dumbbell - Favourite Toy of the Moment (Part 1)

Hello frendz ~

This is my favourite toy at the moment (yeah, flavour of the week!) - Yellow Dumbbell. :) Mom has been taking it in & out of the drawer taunting me with this for days. Sheesh, finally she decides to let me play with it. I've been carrying this everywhere and it's small enuff to fit in my mouth so that the two ends stick out. Mom has been trying to find the perfect moment to capture that shot but well, I don't have time to stick around and humour her.

What are you waiting for Mom? Open it !!!! Look at me - I'm smiling so happily. :)

Chew chew chew...hmm..yummy... As you can see, I'm *totally* ignoring Mr Monkey & my other toys in the background.

Let's see if I can make the dumbbell stand.

hehe...this is a farnie picture. I look like I swallowed the entire toy!

Oh wait, I did swallow most of the dumbbell. *blush*

To make up for those boring pictures yesterday, Mom went crazy with the camera and she kept snapping away. We have too many pictures and in order to keep you coming back for more, we'll continue with the remaining pictures tomorow. What an evil plot Mom!! That's no way to treat my friends!!

Relaxing in my Den

Hey hey!

How was your weekend? The hoomans said the weather was good and brought me out to the park again. :) Will update more once Mom uploads the piktures.

Here's the latest on Mr Brown Bear. Don't you think he looks kinda pudgy around his tum tum? I'm seriously considering if I should help him to lose some weight. What do you think?

I have been neglecting Mr Brown Bear lately cos Mom bought me a new TOY. Yeah, I'm busy working out with my new toy. It's a yellow dumbbell so I carry it everywhere I go. Gotta work out to keep in shape I tell ya....

That's me relaxing in my den. Mom usually swings open one of the play pen when it's time for me to come out to roam the kitchen.

Just bumming around. Nothing much happening right now.

What are you cooking Mom?? I have the *perfect* view from here to check out what's cooking on the stove. The hoomans made grilled prawns in herbs & pan fried chix last night for dinner and it smelt so yummylicious....The smells lingered for the whole night..it was heavenly..but I didn't get to help them with the food. Mom fed me the usual (read : boring) chix with kibbles.

That's me playing with my yellow squeeky ball. Darn, these gotta to be the most boring pictures *ever* I won't blame ya if you wanna check out some other blogs.

In fact, some of favourite blogs have been nominated for April's Awesome Awards at Dogs with Blogs!! hehe...Go Team Copper! Go Team Brat Pack!! :) May the best dawg win! Woo hoo!!

PS : Mom says she's very worried to hear about the new pet food recalls and she's praying hard that my kibbles will stay off the recall list. I hope your hoomans have checked out the list and changed yours if it's affected.

Do you want shiny, glossy hair?

Hiya ~

A couple of you have been asking me if Mom makes an effort to brush my hair before making me pose for pictures. Well, the answer is NO. She's super lazy and she'll probably just smooth down the flyaway hairs from my ears before snapping away.

I know some of you hate taking showers but surprisingly, I'm actually quite game to take one. I'll just stand there and let Mom massage/gently scratch me all over. It feels so good that I wanna just lie in the bathroom and let her do her thing. But there's one thing I HATE about showering, it's that hot gun Mom uses to get me dry. She doesn't allow me to go roll around on the mat or carpet. So I'll squirm and squirm until Mom passes me a greenie to chew on. After I get my greenie, I'll just concentrate on it and let Mom do whatever she wants - yes, that includes pointing the hot gun at me. :) After drying me, she'll apply a generous amount of leave-in conditioner before brushing me. The leave-in condition allows my hair to remain tangle free which means no painful brushing sessions. Yipeee!

Anyhoo, Mom swears by Aloveen Shampoo & Conditioner to get my hair nice and glossy. Darn, I thought it was because I had good genes or something. It smells of Oatmeal & Aloe Vera - very yummy....I should know cos I tried eating it once during my shower. Needless to say, it was the first and last time I tried eating it. haha... I used to have dry flaky skin when I first arrived in Singapore and Mom was totally freaking out. Apparently, it's common for puppies to have white flakes and also because there was a climate change (from Australia to Singapore). After getting recommendations from doggie forumers, she decided to let me try Aloveen. After the first bath, she was sold on Aloveen and went to stock up on them. :)

Range of Aloveen Products.

  • ALOVEEN SHAMPOO contains a gently cleansing shampoo base, which removes dirt, chemicals and allergens from the coat without irritating the skin.
  • ALOVEEN SHAMPOO contains superfine colloidal Oatmeal, in a stable suspension that doesn't separate out and guarantees an even dose throughout the life of the bottle. Oatmeal’s soothing properties are specifically indicated for animals with itchy, dry skin.
  • ALOVEEN INTENSIVE CONDITIONER is a unique, concentrated residual conditioner, specifically designed as a leave on product for deeper conditioning, and to prolong the soothing effects of ALOVEEN SHAMPOO.
  • ALOVEEN INTENSIVE CONDITIONER restores natural skin moisture leaving a glossy, tangle-free coat with a warm pleasant fragrance.

I wanted to find a picture to show you my glossy hair shining in the hot sun but I can't find one. har har.

Oh yeah, Mom says Mr Brown Bear will not be going through surgery cos well, she can't figure out how to "save" him. Mom has never been good with her fingers (needle work) so I get to play with him again.

Here's a sneak peak at Mr Brown Bear when he still had 1 leg left.

Looking good eh? :)

Mr Monkey & Me

Hiya frenz,

I know you have been wondering where Mr Brown Bear is. I used my hound capabilities to sniff the entire house and realised that some of you are right! Mom has put him aside waiting for his surgery date. Mom says he looks quite gruesome right now so we shouldn't be posting any new pictures of him. But I totally disagree cos he's still smiling at me and in fact, I think I hear him say he wanna say HI to everyone. Let's see if I can try to upload the pictures without Mom's knowledge.

In the mean time, I have been playing a lot of Mr Monkey (I hope Mr Brown Bear is not too *jealous* about that).

Spending quality time with Mr Monkey in my bed.

My favourite corner - just beneath the big grey magic box. The air is always so cold when Mom opens the drawers and I get to lick the side of the drawers - it's COLD!!

Tossing Mr Monkey! The movement was fast & swift as lighting. Mom wasn't fast enuff to capture that moment.

I love you Mr Monkey. :) Here's a BIG hug. MUACK!!

His leg looks very yummy. Hmm...are you thinking what I'm thinking? har har har...

Here's a lovely video of me spending time with Mr Monkey. I think he likes me too.

Waiting for the weekend...

Hey everydawg ~

The hoomans have been rather nice to me lately making an effort to bring me out - which is really nice. I'm more of an indoor dog so I don't get a chance to go outdoors much. They always go out to work in the morning leaving me with a pretty decent assortment of toys to keep myself busy. On longer days (where they have their own activities - meaning they don't come back STRAIGHT after work!!!), Mom always leave me with a rawhide cos she feels guilty for coming home late. I have this strange habit - I'll hoard that *precious* rawhide the whole day until the folks are back! Once I'm let out of my play area (notice I'm not calling it a jail cos I've been a realllly good girl lately), I'll grab the rawhide and go find a nice quiet corner to gnaw on it. I haven't tried any of those pig ears or chews though.

Basically I have nothing to blog about and no new pictures to share either. :( All I can do right now is to count down to the weekend.

Mom told me that Ben & Jerry is giving out free ice cream today (17 Apr) and she went to get a free scoop during lunch. Sheesh, I have no idea why she insisted I should post this cos I'm sure you are not interested in *that* right? Unless you also have a Ben & Jerry around your area and got some free ice cream too??

Playing with Dad ! I have no idea what's so farnie and why I'm grinning so happily. Oh wait, maybe it's the treat he's holding?

Sit Luckie Sit!! So I execute my perfect sit pose without sliding my legs to the side. That's my lazy version of SIT.

Hope you are having a more exciting day than poor lonely me.

Yummy New Snacks & another trip to the park!

Hey frendz,

Mom bought me a new snack - Salmon Snack Treats. Oh gosh, they taste so super yum yum. As you know I'm currently training Mom to shake paws with me, these treats come in very useful. HA! Here's what the packaging says : Snack 21 treats are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, high quality protein and natural vitamins and minerals. It contains absolutely no addictives, preservatives, colouring or artificial flavouring. And it is absolutely healthy and hypoallergenic!

Yum Yum - I love Salmon.

Hmmm, maybe I'll get to try this the next round!

This flavour looks very good too. *sighz* How am I going to stay slim and pretty? Oh yeah, they also carry treats for cats too. :)

The hoomans brought me to the park again and we walked for an hour only cos the weather was turning bad. Mom said we had to go back home before we get caught in the thunderstorm. That's fine with me cos I was really very very tired after all that walking. Dad's camera went out of *batteries* and he didn't bring any extras out so no pictures of me!! Mom says she'll have to bring her own camera next time to capture me. :)

I met some really nice hoomans who wanted to pet me & one hooman lady said she used to have a smooth coat daschie and I remind her of her dog. I don't think I like hooman pups much. They kept coming near to me and before squealing loudly & running off! Yikes...all that noise. I was a good girl and didn't bark or lunged at them. And they called me mean names..."HOT DOG HOT DOG" Crap, hooman pups are so rude I tell ya. Seriously, that was uncalled for don't you agree?

On a side note, Mom noticed that my left eye has some reddish/brown discharge (seems like dried blood) in the morning and she said there's a pimple or cyst like thingy underneath my eyelid. She's kinda worried and wanted to know if we should go see a vet soon and wait for the thingy to go away. *sighz*

Adventures at Singapore Botanic Garden (Part 2)

Hey there!

It's finally the end of the week and the hoomans will be able to spend quality time with me again. My nails are getting a tad bit long and Mom says we may need to go get a manicure. Anyhoo, Mom's sister (does that make her my aunt?) intends to get a doggy and she asked if the hoomans can go check out the pup with her. Seriously, what better way to check out a pup by bringing *ME* along? But I guess that's not going to happen cos they don't trust me enough around a young pup. That's really crappy....

Oh yeah, here's Part 2 of my adventures. Sorry about ranting but I had to get that off my very chesty chest before I go crazy. Mr Brown Bear hasn't been playing with me much cos he lost all his limbs and I dunno where he disappeared to.

I saw this black swan in the pond and Dad said there was some problem with the poor swan's leg.

Isn't this cute? Tortises in a row!

New smells..hmm..very interesting.

Ah, I wanna get into the shady area.

This is so much fun. If only Mom would unleash me..har har har...

Enjoying the shady area with Mom.

I had expected to see more dogs around but my silly hoomans parked at the wrong carpark so we were quite far from the main park where most doggies hang out. I suspect it's a PLOT to keep me away from making new friends. :(

Adventures at Singapore Botanic Gardens (Part 1)

Dear frenz,

The hoomans brought me to one of Singapore's oldest Park - Singapore Botanic Gardens last weekend. It was a very crowded with people enjoying the sun and also enjoying their yummylicious picnic spread (I saw lotsa food on the ground but Mom said it's not for me). Hooman pups were running around screaming and playing, I don't get it..why aren't those hooman pups leashed up like me? I felt kinda shy with so many hoomans around me but I wasn't too shy to turn over to show them my belly when they try to pet me. haha..Mom says I'm a shameless hussy.

I made Dad take lotsa pics to show you what was at the park. :)

Isn't this a pwetty flower? Reminds me of my red harnass!

This is the same flower as above but in another color! It's called Bouganvilla and grows very well in hot tropical weather! We see this everywhere in Singapore.

Dad says this tree has very interesting looking branches.

Boy was it hot!

Oh look, Mom's calling me to go over....

I wonder what's going on over there...Hmm...

Side profile...Mom said I put on some weight recently. That's really mean of her. I'd like to remind her that it's all because of those yummy treats I get while we go through our daily training session.

Sniff sniff...who goes there?

I like this shot. Just look at the very lady-like manner I'm sitting. My hind legs are curled up nicely behind me.

Phew, Mom can you please carry me now?

That's me & Mom walking off and leaving poor Dad behind. hee hee.. I realised I looked really teeny beside Mom.
