Prison Break feat Piper the Corgi Escape Artiste Extraordinaire

Hiya frenz,

It is a really gloomy Monday morning with heavy rain (Mr Sun was also shining brightly at the same time) as the hoomans made their way to work. Thank dog, I got to sleep in a little and relax the day away.

Many of you have expressed your shock & concern regarding my half a spoon kibbles breakfast. Mom insists I explain this in case everydog & Girl Girl think she's been ill treating me. So it is with great reluctance that I say, I'm a light eater in the morning. It is by choice that I eat so little cos it's just plain dry kibbles and Mom has to feed me by hand the first few kibbles before I continue on my own. My main meal in the evening is more than enough to sustain me. I get more than half a spoon of kibbles together with home cooked food (usually some chicken/fish/beef/etc with carrots/peas/etc). Afterthat, I get some apples or yogurt for dessert so it ain't *that* bad really..hehe... I do get some treats thrown in if the hoomans are in a good mood. Darn, so if you guys have rallied together to send me a bag of food via express delivery to Singapore, I guess it's too late to stop the delivery now. I'll gladly accept the food with open paws. (Luckie's Mom : LUCKIE!!! Stop that now!)

Anyhoo, I wanted to share two videos of my cousin - Piper the Corgi doing a prison break of her own. She's one cool lady but she doesn't like me too much. How can anydog or hooman not like me?? Bummer, she's 6 years old and in the videos, she was just shaved and so didn't quite look like your regular corgi next door. She looked like a Jack Russell Terrier. LOL!!

So Wally, this is for you since you mentioned on Benny's blog, you hardly see corgis around.

Prison Break Take 1 - Feat Piper the Corgi (Escape Artiste Extraordinaire)

Prison Break Take 2 - Feat Piper the Corgi (Escape Artiste Extraordinaire)

I hope you noticed how she checks out the situation before making her move. I am totally inspired by her suave moves that I think I should chunk away all my Prison Break DVDs (actually they belong to Dad who thinks Prison Break is Da BOMB!!) and learn from her instead.

On a side note, Girl Girl suggested that I should have a nice Korean Name to go with my pwetty HanBok. And so she got Eil Jie Jie to do this for me!

Those words mean Lee La Ki which is my name in Korean. Ain't that cool? My surname is Lee and my name is Luckie (La Ki in Korean). Actually I understand it's pronounced as Yi La Ki instead but I could be wrong.

Let's all have a great week ahead!!!

Wow, that is one smartdog with the escapes! I love the way she looks out first... or is it a he, I forgot. I love you in your dress. By the way, what language do they speak in Singapore? And are there two of you or did you make that picture where there are two of you, on the top of your blog?

mmmmmm! your dinner foods sound reelly yummy to me! i dont think i cud survive on a spoonful of kibble for brekfast though. i need my morning energy to chase skwerrels all day.

those were some very daring prison breaks! thanks for sharing the exciting video.

You look just fine to me so I am not worried. I already know you are just as spoiled as the rest of us dogs. But boy is that Corgi smart or what? I mean he should go on heists!

Woh Piper sure is a great Escape Artiste. I think if she's in Prison Break, the show would be over in just 1 episode.

hahahaha! that piper is one smart cookie. my cousin bobby knows how to open the door to the house as well. (we don't live together but i've seen him doing it like hundred times!).

luckie, you think your half a spoon kibble is torturing? well, i don't do breakfast, how about that?? u see, mom used to feed me breakfast but i always end up not eating it coz normally i sleep when the hooman out to work. so mom stop giving me breakfast, instead, replace it with treats or chewie. sometime, i didn't even finish the treats - i save it when the hooman comes back and i'll enjoy with their company. lol

wet wet licks

I really like your Korean name!! The video was hilarious, Mom just loves corgis.

You look so pretty in your dress and we love your name. Piper is very talented. Don't learn how to escape though. Even if you only want a few kibbles in the morning, they are always available!

Luckie, nope, my mom didn't use a furminator. She (and I) don't even know what a furminator is. She just used a bunch of different brushes to get all that undercoat out of me. I think the main one is called a rake?

I will have to take a look at the video later when I am on a computer that can play it.

By the way, Copper asked what language you speak. When you answer that, maybe you could also explain how surnames come first in some cultures. Also, my friend told me in Singapore, the tip is always built into the bill at 10%. Is that true? Do the big high rise apartments have air conditioning, because I hear it is hot and humid over there. I think inquiring minds wanna know. Are ya gonna make a post about your secretary like Hershey did?

Hi Luckie,

I wasn't worried 'bout your light breakfast as I'm not a morning eater either. Eating in the morning makes me gag. I eat my first meal at lunch time followed by a late dinner. I prefer it that way.

Wow, your cousin Piper sure knows how to do the whole prison break thing!! And it's so cool and she checks out the situation b4 moving forward!! Smart girl!!

Hi Luckie! I'm so glad u got the pressie!
Hey, this Piper girl is SO SMART...she's bald but that's ok since its temporary.hahaha....

Cool stuff! The korean dress is really sweet on u! And thanks for the photos! And we hope to see u again. My Mum likes u...i hope not more than she likes me. hahahaha!!!

Love lots, Benny
p.s. You get discount (2 wks b4 and after the barkday) on massage if you want cos its ur barkday. Mummy totally forgot to tell you in ur pressie. =P

Whew! Thank Dawgness! Its good to hear that your half a spoon of kibble is by choice. I told my Mummy that I wanted to report your Mummy to the SPCA.

Piper is one smart doggie.

Nice work Piper! I have taken some notes.

How any dog doesn't want to eat 24/7 is a mystery to me. I am SUPER greedy!

Wowf.. don't worry Luckie.. I don't get breakfast.. how do you like that? I only eat those boooooring kibbles which they leave until hometime... which I finished off before lunch..

they seem to think I'm getting too fat! what can I do?? I cna't go out.. I don't have playmates.. how do I work the fat off anyway?

I'll take down some notes on Piper.. maybe that'll help me!

Suki said...

LOL! Oh my gosh, Piper looks SO FUNNY shaved like that! But she is very smart to be able to escape so quickly :)

Thank you for explaining your kibble situation. I was starting to worry you'd lose your curvy little body! Hehehe!

You're like my sissy who some times just isn't hungry. Not me. I'm ravished at ANY time of the day!

I love Piper! I'm an escape artist, too. Maybe it's the corgi in me!

Ike said...

Can I have what you don't eat?

Tadpole said...

Cool - you have a Korean name AND a Korean dress! You're so luckie (hee hee!)!

I can't believe there is ANY time of the day when a doggie isn't hungry!!!

Hana said...

Hey Luckie! I tag you for the family revealing game. You gotta write about your family and then tag 3 other dogs!

Putter said...

PHEW! I am also relieved that you are not starving Luckie! Keep me posted on that front, okay!

Your Friend,

Putter ...:)

We're going to need Piper's skills when we attempt our break in of the human supermarkets. Please tell Piper to sharpen her claws and get ready to infiltrate some of the finer human cuisine places.

Yes, my Mom uses a furminator on me sometimes. We have to borrow it from Miss Cindy because we don't own one yet. Her's is wide (4 inches or so) and I would get a narrower one if I were to buy one. Hershey has a narrow one. They are AWESOME, way better than any other dog brush. They get out a lot of loose fur (and probably some 'not lose' fur.)
