Jurong Bird Park Part 3

Hello!!

Finally, we come to the final instalment of piktures. I guess you must be getting bored with all the recent posts cos it's not about ME. This time, we are showcasing two different birdies - Mr Ostrich (or maybe it's a Miss) and the Lorries (Lorikeets)!!
I'm going to tell you a little secret since Mom's not here. Well you see, when the hoomans (actually it was Mom cos I'm quite sure Dad doesn't want to be a part of this) saw the place "Lorries Loft" indicated on the map of the Bird Park, she thought that it was a place where lorries (the vehicle with wheels, geddit?) parked with fruits/bird feed there so visitors could feed the birdies. She didn't know that Lorries were birdies known as Lorikeets. hahahaha... Alrighty, now you know what a bimbo Mom is. Sshhhh...don't tell her you know about this!
Let's move on to the pikctures now shall we? :)

Look how thin and long his neck and legs are! Dad said when he went to South Africa, they made Ostrich Egg Omelets for breakkie every morning. One egg (which was huge!!) could make many many breakkie sets for the hoomans. He brought home one empty egg shell as a souvenir which was quite dumb I think.

This must be Miss Ostrich since her neck and legs are PINK! Do you think she's related to the PINK flamingos? Maybe a distant cousin or sumthing? Oooo..she even highlighted her feathers!

It must be awfully tiring to bend down so low just to get a drink or eat their food.

Mom loves these next set of pikctures and she thinks she did a great job. I have to agree for once. I did not need to peer closely and figure out what she's trying to capture (yeah, remember the cage & toucan pikture?). These lorries are bootiful. They have extremely vibrant colours.

Look at those lorries relaxing. Mom says they are very tame and will fly to any hooman offering them food! Sounds like me...but I can't fly...I'll run over to the hooman instead. LOL!! In fact, there's a food kiosk for the visitors to purchase their food so they can feed the lorries and take pikctures too!

I love the colorful birdies!! I wish I was there to chase them away!!!

Psst..did you see that stupid hooman standing there? Is she still looking at me?

Another bootiful birdie posing for Mom.

Finally, Mom's BESTEST work of the day. A headless birdie!! :)

I hope you enjoyed all the pikctures from the bird park. It sure looked like a fun place to go. I'm sure you missed my pikctures so yeah, this is not a birdie blog and the next post I promise will be about ME.

PS : Dad took the exact same pikture of the headless birdie from another angle. Let me see if I can get my paws on that.

Wooooow, more birdies! I think I feel like catching one right now... I have one birdie at home too. I always stare at it but that fella who we names Tweety is a feisty one. Don't like to be handled & when it is, it'll try to bite mommy's hand. But it doesn't hurt that much she told me. A headless birdie!!!??? No lah! The head's just tucked in, it's sleeeeeeeeeping...

Love licks,

My girl started laughing when she saw these pictures and said that I look like the first picture with my bony legs and long neck. I don't think that's very amusing.

Ha ha... I guess that makes of us who nearly fell off their perch (ho hum ha ha) when they saw the pic of the headless bird!! I have to agree. That is a good pic!

Your parents sure have a thing for birds. Better be careful, Luckie! Your parents might get a birdie as a playmate for you one day!

Hey, I have to write some bird news on my bloggy. Someday I will get around to it.

I would love to chase those birdies - much easier to see than the birds that live here.

Hey Luckie, did you find out why the bird lost it's head. I like the pink leg Ostrich. You think she's wearing stockings?
